Day 1 : Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate
In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Tizin-Tichka Pass. All along the way, we will have many breaks so as to explore different views and places. Our first stop will be in the village of Telouet to visit the Kasbah of “Basha Glaoui Ethami”. Also, we will stop to explore the Kasbah of AIT BEN HADDOU. This Kasbah, which is built also by El-Glaoui Ethami, used to be one of El-Glaouis’ stops in his long journeys to Marrakesh, but now it is a UNESCO World Heritage which attracts thousands of tourists every year. The Kasbah is also well-known for being the setting for many films such as, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and many others. After having lunch in restaurant close to the Kasbah, we will head to Ouarzazate to spend the night in the hotel.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora
After having breakfast, we will head to Agdez. In this village, we will explore its most important landmarks before continuing our way to Zagora via Draa Valley. As we have lunch in Zagora, we will travel to Tamgroute to visit its old Qur’anic library, the Kasbah and the pottery workshops where you can buy some gifts or souvenirs. In the evening, we will head back to Zagora to have dinner and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 3 : Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga
Early in the morning, we will leave Zagora towards the heart of the southeast desert of Morocco, Merzouga. Along the way, we will pass through a number of beautiful Berber villages such as Taftechna, Ouaazique, Tazarine, and Alnif where we will stop to have lunch. After your lunch break, we will continue our way to Merzouga via Rissani which houses the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the third great-grandfather of Moulay Cherif who is the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. In Rissani, you will have free time to visit its traditional souk (market), which is the largest in the region, in order –if you want- to buy some crafts and souvenirs. Then, we will drive to Merzouga where we will rest a bit before riding camels to explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy a marvelous sunset in the desert. Night will be spent in a Bivouac in the middle of the desert.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinjdad – Tinghir
Before sunrise, we will wake you up so as not to miss the chance to sightsee a breathtaking sunrise in the middle of the desert. After that, we will ride the camel back to the hotel. As you have breakfast and take a shower, we will drive towards Erfoud, which is famous for its date festival and fossils workshops. We can –if you want- stop in Erfoud to visit some fossils and marbles workshops to buy gifts and souvenirs. Then, we will continue our way towards Todra Gorges vie Tourog, Tinjdad, where we will have lunch, and Tinghir. In the afternoon, we will have arrived in Todra Gorges, a series of high limestone river canyons. In this unique place, you will have free time to explore its corners by yourself. Night will be spent in the hotel.
Day 5 : Tinghir – Boumalne – Dades gorges – Roses valley – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we will stretch our legs inside the palm fields of Tinghir before leaving towards Ouarzazate vie Boumanle Dades, Kalaa M’gouna and Skoura. Along the way, we will stop in many breathtaking places. First, we will stop to enjoy the impressive Dades gorges with its beautiful and different rocks formations. As we have lunch in the valley, we will drive to explore the Kasbah of Ait Youl before continuing our way to the Hollywood of Africa, Ouarzazate, via Kallat Megouna, the city of Roses, and Skoura where we will stop to visit the 17th century Kasbah of Amrdile. After exploring the Kasbah, we will head to Ouarzazate to have dinner and check into your hotel.
Day 6 : Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After having breakfast, we will walk a little inside the city and then explore the Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinema studios where many international films have been filmed. Following this, we will head toward the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage. This Kasbah is well-known for being the setting for many famous films such as, Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After having lunch in a local restaurant close to the Kasbah, we will drive towards Marrakech through Tizi N’tichka Pass. Night will be spent in the hotel.
