Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’tichka Pass – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

            In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Tizin-Tichka Pass. All along the way, we will have many breaks so as to explore different views and places. Our first stop will be in the village of Telouet to visit the Kasbah of “Basha Glaoui Ethami”. Also, we will stop to explore the Kasbah of AIT BEN HADDOU. This Kasbah, which is built also by El-Glaoui Ethami, used to be one of El-Glaouis’ stops in his long journeys to Marrakesh, but now it is a UNESCO World Heritage which attracts thousands of tourists every year. The Kasbah is also well-known for being the setting for many films such as, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and many others. After having lunch in restaurant close to the Kasbah, we will head to Ouarzazate to spend the night in the hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaa M’gouna – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges – Boumalne – Tineghir – Todra Gorges.

After having breakfast, we will leave Ouarzazate towards Todra Gorges via both Dades and Roses valleys and other Berber villages. Our first stop will take place in Skoura where we will explore an old famous Kasbah called the Kasbah of Ameridil. Then, we will head towards Dades Gorge where you will be mesmerized by its rocks which take the form of “monkeys Toes”. After a lunch break in Boulmane Dades, we will continue our way through Tineghir down to the magnificent Todra Gorges, a series of high limestone river canyons, where you will have free time to explore its beauty on your own. Night will be spent in the hotel.

Day 3: Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Touroug town – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi (Merzouga).

            In the early morning, you will stretch your legs in Todra gorges to enjoy some fresh air before leaving the gorges towards the city of Tinjdad where you will have lunch in a local restaurant. Then, we will drive to Erfoud to see some fossils and marbles workshop; it’s a great opportunity to buy some gifts and souvenirs. After that, we will head towards the heart of the southeastern desert of Morocco, Merzouga. As we arrive to Merzouga, we will rest and then ride the camels to explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi and sightsee a marvelous sunset in the middle of the desert. Following this, we will head to a Bivouac where you will be served dinner and sleep in a traditional tent made of camel wool.

Day 4: Merzouga – Hassi labied – Khamlia – Nomad family – fossil Site – Tour of the dunes.

            After enjoying an early morning sunrise on the top of a sand dune, we will ride the camel back to the hotel where you will have breakfast and take a shower. As you get ready, we will go on an exploratory tour in the surrounding areas of Merzouga. We will first see some black volcanic rocks and marble fossils. Then, we will visit a nomad family in their tent to learn about their traditions and share some of their everyday habits. After that, we will head towards Khamlia, which is regionally known as the village of black people coming from Sudan, to visit Dar Gnawa (the house of Gnawa) and enjoy their music. Also, we will visit a seasonal lake called “Dayte Sarji”. If you like the birds of Flamingo, this lake will give the chance to see them and take pictures of them. After a lunch break in either Merzouga or Hassi Labied, we will end today’s tour with riding camels through some sand dunes to enjoy a spectacular sunset. Night will be spent in an Auberge.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes.

            After having breakfast, we will head toward Rissani to explore its local souk which is the biggest in the region. Then, we will leave to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous and the valley of Ziz in which we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the oasis of Aoufous. After that, we will continue our way to Fez passing through a number of beautiful Berber villages and magnificent places such as, Midelt or the ‘city of apple’ where we will have lunch, the Cedar forest of Azrou where we will stop to enjoy feeding and playing with monkeys, and Ifran or ‘the Switzerland of Morocco where you will have free time to explore its beautiful gardens and have memorial pictures with a sculpted lion which stands as an important icon inside the city. Late in the evening, we will be in Fez where you will spend the night.
