Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou Cedar Forest → Midelt → Todra Gorges → Merzouga

Morning departure from your riad in Fes.
Stop in alpine Ifrane and Azrou cedar forest – feed wild Barbary macaques.
Scenic drive via Ziz Valley, lunch in Midelt.
Afternoon walk in dramatic Todra Gorges (300 m red cliffs).
Arrive Erg Chebbi ~17:00 → sunset camel trek into the dunes.
Welcome tea, dinner with live Berber music & campfire.
Night 1 in private luxury desert camp (en-suite tent, hot shower).

Day 2: Full Day & Night Deep in Erg Chebbi – Total Desert Immersion
Wake for an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes.
After breakfast, 4×4 excursion around the dunes:
– Visit hidden Ait Hani Berber villages & nomadic families
– Khamlia village for live Gnawa music & tea
– Fossil workshop & black desert panorama
Afternoon free: sandboarding, relax, or optional quad biking.
Second sunset camel trek back to camp.

Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Tinghir → Todra Gorges

Day 4: Todra → Ziz Valley → Azrou → Ifrane → Return to Fes

Morning departure north.
Scenic stops along Ziz Valley palm groves.
Final monkey encounter in Azrou cedar forest.
Arrival back in Fes around 16:30–17:30.
