Day 1: Tanger – Meknes

As you arrive to the Port of Tangier, we will be there to welcome and help you with your luggage. From Tangier or as most Moroccans prefer to call it “The Bride of The North”, we will head to Meknes, which is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. Along the way, we will stop at many places in order to enjoy their beauty and take memorial pictures.

Day 2: Meknes – Fez

Our excursion in Meknes will start from its old medina. As we entered the old medina, you will enjoy its narrow passages and old houses as well as visit Madrasa Bou Anania, a Qur’anic school which dates back to the 14th century. Then, we will leave the old medina to sightsee Lhdim square and Bab-Mansour which is well known all around Morocco for its beautiful architecture. Our next stop will be Sahrij Souani that is a basin located in the heart of Meknes. The basin is a site that testifies the glorious past of the city under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl in the 17th century. We will also visit the mausoleum Moulay Ismael who is the founder of the city. After lunch, we will head to Volubilis, which is an archaeological site that still contains some of the ruins and landmarks of the ancient Roman Empire. The site still maintains many important monuments such as, the Arch of Caracalla or the Triumphal Arch and many mosaics which tell a lot of stories about the daily life of the Romans at their time. Late in the evening, we will drive towards Fez to spend the night in a hotel/Riad.

Day 3: Fez – Fez

                After having breakfast, we will sightsee with a local official tour guide one of the oldest living Medinas in the world, the old medina of Fez. First, we will explore the narrow alleys of the old medina with its traditional souks. Then, we will visit other famous places of the old medina such as the 9th century Karouine Mosque and University, El-Attarine school and the Fontaine Ennajarine. We will also visit the mausoleum of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II” and some of the tanneries to see how leather is traditionally made. After lunch, we will visit the Batha Museum to go on a historical journey about the city of Fez. Night will be spent in the hotel.

Day 4: Fez – Merzouga

In the early morning, we will leave Fez towards Merzouga via a number of beautiful cities and Berber villages. Our first stop will be Ifran or “the Switzerland of Morocco”. In this beautiful city, you will enjoy its breathtaking gardens as well as taking memorial pictures near a sculpted lion which represents an important monument inside the city. As we leave Ifrane, our second stop will be the cedar forests of Azrou whose monkeys add a touch to the beauty of the place. After that we will continue to Zaida, a small Berber village in the Atlas, where we will have lunch.  As you finish lunch, we will head to Merzouga over Tizi-n-Talremt pass, Ziz Valley and  a number of villages such as Rich, a small Berber village marks the end of the high Atlas mountains, Errachidia, the main city of the region, and Erfoud, which is famous for its date festival and fossils shops.  By the evening, we will be at the doors of Merzouga where you will enjoy a spectacular sunset from the top of the dunes before checking into your hotel.

Day 5: Merzouga – Ouzina Desert

            After a journey into the desert on camels, we will return to the hotel to rest and enjoy a shower. As you get ready, we will leave Merzouga towards the Ouzina desert. Along the way, you will stop in ‘Taouz’ to sightsee its graved stones. Then, we will continues our way to the dunes of Ouzina vie the village of ‘Jdaid’. In the evening, we will have reached the Ouzina dunes where we will enjoy a fabulous sunset before heading to the Kasbah of Ouzina to spend the night.

Day 6: Ouzina Desert – Boumalne de Dades

            After breakfast, you will have free time to explore the surrounding areas of the Ouzina Kasbah as well as meet some Berbers families to experience how they live and learn about their traditions. After that, we will head towards Boumalene Dades where we will spend the night. Along the way, we will stop in different places to capture their beauty and enjoy their uniqueness. Night will be spent in the Boumalene Dades.

Day 7: Boumalne de Dades – Marrakech

            Early in the morning, we will leave Boumalene Dades towards the Red City, Marrakech, passing through Skoura and Ouarzazate where we will explore the Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinema studios. Then, we will head toward the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage. This Kasbah is well-known for being the setting for many famous films such as, Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After having lunch in a local restaurant close to the Kasbah, we will drive towards Marrakech through Tizi N’tichka Pass. Late in the evening, we will be in Marrakech. Dinner will be served in Jamaa el Fna square and night will be spent in the hotel. 

Day 8: Marrakech – Marrakech

                Today, we will have a full-day tour to sightsee Marrakech. Our excursion will start with visiting the old Medina to feel ‘the sort of’ popular lifestyle that cannot be found anywhere else except the old medina in Marrakech. Our sightseeing tour will cover also a number of beautiful places such as, the Menara gardens, El-Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Mausoleum, and Majorelle garden. We will also visit both the Bahia Palace which is a palace built in the late 19th century in order to document the beauty of the Islamic and Moroccan style and architecture and El-Badi palace, a palace which currently represents a popular tourist attraction because of its unique designs. Besides, you will explore one of the famous squares in Morocco, Jemaa el Fnaa. In this place, you will see how many aspects of the Moroccan culture are uniting and blending into a one picture full of beauty, diversity, and entertainment.

Day 9: Marrakech – Marrakech

Day 10: Marrakech – Essaouira

After having breakfast, we will leave Marrakech towards Essaouira which is known with its fortress walls that still enclose part of the city. As we reach Essaouira, we will dedicate the remaining of the day to explore its old medina, a place where you can feel the coexistence of simplicity, traditionality, and Moroccan Modern Art. Night will be spent in the hotel.

Day 11: Essaouira – Casablanca

After breakfast, we will visit other places of Essaouira, such as the Harbour scala, the Mosque of Ben Youssef, the Magana clock-tower and some towers and walls that surround the city. Following this, we will continue our way to the economical capital of Morocco, Casablanca, where we will visit Hassan the II Mosque before checking into the hotel.

Day 12: Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier

After having breakfast, we will leave Casablanca to capital of Morocco. In Rabat, we will explore the most important historical monuments such as, Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of Udaya, the royal residence, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. After that, we will head towards Tangier which marks the end of our long and joyful trip.
