Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech → Tizi n’Tichka → Ait Ben Haddou → Skoura Oasis
(≈ 350 km | relaxed pace)
08:00 departure. Cross the High Atlas with stunning stops.
Guided visit to UNESCO Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.
Afternoon in enchanting Skoura palm grove – explore 17th-century Kasbah Amridil and wander among thousands of date palms.
Overnight in a beautiful restored kasbah or boutique riad inside the oasis. Dinner included.

Day 2: Skoura → Valley of Roses → Dades Gorges
(≈ 150 km | short & scenic)
Morning free in Skoura (optional walk or bike in the palmery).
Drive through fragrant Valley of Roses (Kelaat M’Gouna) – visit a rose distillery (especially beautiful in April–May).
Afternoon hike in dramatic Dades Gorges among the famous “Monkey Fingers” rocks.
Overnight in a spectacular kasbah hotel perched on the edge of the canyon. Dinner with view.

Day 3: Dades → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga Erg Chebbi
(≈ 280 km
Morning walk along the Dades river, then on to the 300 m-high red cliffs of Todra Gorges – time for photos and a refreshing canyon walk.
Continue via fossil workshops in Erfoud to the golden dunes.
Arrive ~16:30. Sunset camel trek (1.5 h) deep into Erg Chebbi.
Arrive at your private luxury desert camp in time for sunset from the highest dune.
Welcome tea, 3-course dinner, live Berber drums & music around the fire.
Night 1 in private en-suite tent (hot shower, real bed, electricity).

Day 4: Full Free Day – Total Desert Immersion in Merzouga

Optional sunrise camel trek or sleep in.

Final sunrise & breakfast in the dunes.
Morning visit to Rissani traditional market (if it’s market day).
Drive along the lush Ziz Valley with a million palm trees.
Stop in Azrou cedar forest – walk among giant trees and feed wild Barbary macaques.
Overnight in a cozy mountain lodge or boutique hotel near Azrou/Ifrane. Dinner included.

Day 6: Cedar Forest → Ifrane → High Atlas → Marrakech
(≈ 380 km | 6–7 h)
Morning walk in the cedar forest (more monkeys!).
Pass through clean alpine town Ifrane (“Moroccan Switzerland”).
Final crossing of Tizi n’Tichka with last panoramic Atlas views.
Arrival back in Marrakech around 16:00–17:00. Drop-off at your riad/hotel or airport.
